We scan public records for fake and look-alike sites using your brand's name, and we show you what we find. Your first scan is free.
Provenstone (“we”, “us”) provides a service that examines publicly available records to identify third-party domains and listings referencing a subscriber’s brand and reports such identifications to the subscriber (the “Service”). The initial scan is provided at no charge.
This is the one that matters most. Everything we show you is a lead built from public data. It is not a court ruling, and we never call anyone a counterfeiter. You look at the evidence and you decide what to do with it.
All Findings constitute investigative leads derived from publicly available information. Findings do not constitute legal conclusions, adjudications of infringement, or determinations of counterfeiting, and shall not be represented as such. You are solely responsible for evaluating Findings and determining what action, if any, to take.
We cannot promise we will catch every fake, or that a takedown or a refund claim will succeed. Those depend on registrars, marketplaces, and the law, none of which we control. We tell you what we can actually see and do, and nothing more.
We make no representation or warranty that the Service will identify all infringing or impersonating activity, or that any takedown, complaint, or recovery pursued on the basis of Findings will succeed. Such outcomes depend on third parties and legal processes outside our control.
Scan only brands you own or have a real reason to protect. Do not use Provenstone to harass anyone, to dig up things you have no right to, or to overload the service.
You represent that you will request scans only for brands you own or have a legitimate interest in protecting. You shall not use the Service to harass any person, to obtain information you are not entitled to obtain, or in any manner that impairs, overburdens, or disrupts the Service or its infrastructure.
We never contact a registrar, a marketplace, or anyone else, and we never file a takedown, unless you tell us to. Your call, every time.
We will not initiate any communication with, or submission to, any registrar, marketplace, platform, or other third party, nor pursue any takedown or enforcement action, absent your express prior authorization.
What we collect, how long we keep it, and the buttons to get a copy or delete it are all in our privacy policy. Short version: we do not sell it, and you can wipe it yourself any time.
Our collection, use, retention, and disclosure of personal data, and the mechanisms by which you may access or erase it, are governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated herein by reference.
The scan and the service come as-is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or knock-on losses from using the service or from acting on a report. We will always do right by you, but we cannot sign up for unlimited liability as a young company.
THE SERVICE AND ALL FINDINGS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PROVENSTONE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY ACTION TAKEN IN RELIANCE ON FINDINGS.
Same promise as the privacy policy. If we make a meaningful change, we email everyone on record before it takes effect and keep the older versions. We will finalize the formal governing-law and dispute wording once the company is registered. Questions: hello@provenstone.com.
We may modify these Terms. For any material change, we will provide notice by email to addresses on record before the change takes effect, and will retain prior versions.
